Thrive Wellbeing for Menopause
The road to a healthier, happier more positive you starts right here, right now!
Midlife can be a very demanding time for many women. So many women tell me the same story; they feel the push and pull of looking after ageing (and possibly ailing) parents, teenage children and work.
Add on the transition of Menopause, and you can easily find yourself overwhelmed and at the bottom of the priority list. Without support, the physical, mental and emotional toll can for many women feel isolating, overwhelming and difficult to navigate.
‘If ever there was a time in a woman’s life, where she needs to connect with like- minded understanding women, it’s during peri-menopause & menopause.”
The power of listening unconditionally and sharing experiences with friends is undeniably powerful, but what do you do and where do you go if you need more help? How do you go about discovering a way to optimise your own mental health and physical well-being? To navigate through all the noise around menopause right now, to make informed choices and live your life to the full?
I created THRIVE Wellbeing to support you in this life phase, and help bring back control with respect to your nutrition, exercise, stress levels and sleep. To help you understand and welcome this completely natural phase of your life with acceptance and awareness; regain perspective and make informed decisions which are right for YOU.
Are you ready to reconnect with your own body?
My MENOPAUSE Journey…
I always find it helpful reading someones else’s story so here goes…
“My Menopause journey started over 10 years ago, there really wasn’t a lot of information out there at the time, let alone ‘meno experts’ or celebrities sharing their experiences. My mum had passed away 5 years prior and so I felt quite lost when I started with perimenopause.
Looking back, I had had occasional night sweats in my early 40’s, however stronger symptoms started with chest palpitations at night aged 46. These were of course really alarming and carried every night for weeks. The GP never mentioned menopause once, he just sent me for an overnight ECG and when the results came back totally fine, there was no further investigation and that was the end of it. Thankfully, the palpitations stopped as quickly as they started. Following this headaches came and went randomly; weird fizzing sensations up the side of my face. Body odour changes, dryness – especially my mouth…a very red face, and the classic sweats always at the most embarrassing times.
My shape changed completely, my back was wider, as was my waist. My exercise no longer worked in the same way for me, something had to change, I was feeling tired, irritable and fed up. I read up on everything, nutrition, lifestyle, supplements, and exercise.. the whole lot. As a fitness instructor I I felt I should know more about my health and well-being in this phase of life so I formed I a plan and I followed it to the letter. I wasn’t a big drinker but I found I now had zero tolerance to alcohol, it made incredibly anxious and sad. I upped my hydration, started doing more holistic workouts such as yoga and pilates, got a meditation app called headspace ( this helped massively with overwhelm and anxiety) and looked at my nutrition in more depth. The symptoms started calming down and I regained a lot more energy, things felt so much better with the exception of…
SLEEP
Literally night after night, my sleep just went out the window. it was so debilitating with two young kids and a husband working away a lot, I felt terrible. I saw my GP in tears and reluctantly accepted HRT, seeing myself as a failure for not managing it all naturally. I’d done all my research and asked for oestrogel and utrogestan, both body identical hormone replacements, yet I was offered a combined pill. The GP commented that was all they prescribed and I seemed to know more more about it than she did; I was referred to the local Menopause Clinic and 6 months later I got the HRT I needed and my sleep was transformed. My hair and skin improved and my energy skyrocketed, I started to feel normal again.
HRT isn’t for everyone for a variety of reasons, and just taking medication without addressing your symptoms and working on all aspects of your life, your stress levels, what you eat and drink won’t optimise your health. It’s about getting the correct formula for you.
My journey took a deep look into the busyness of my life, with an emphasis on enriching myself, mentally, physically and emotionally. It helped me turn myself around and from this experience, learn how to help others with their menopause journey, this is what I currently offer.”

Here’s what my clients say…
Having Rheumatoid arthritis & on the other side of the menopause, Ginny has helped me with my diet, the importance of having a healthy gut and how it supports your body with your day to day lifestyle. It has most certainly helped with RA and post menopause symptoms ….less fatigue, more energy and most certainly a clearer brain. She has been a massive support throughout, at the end of the phone or a message when I needed advice.
I met Ginny through one of her fitness classes. I loved her enthusiasm and athleticism and she would talk about the importance of diet and nutrition. I loved how I felt after her fitness classes so I decided to get some nutritional advice which was the best thing I’ve done.
She gave me a better understanding of a healthy diet and the importance of it. She doesn’t make you feel stupid and is so easy to get on with. I am also having Ginny for regular PT, helping me to strengthen my body in order to cope with RA. I come away buzzing, absolutely love them and also the fact that my body & well-being has changed for the better all thanks to Ginny.
