It’s incredible easy to make bread.
It's cathartic, enjoyable and great to watch your family demolish a loaf - you just need to put aside a little time and plan it into your day.

Cook Time 30 minutes

Ingredients
  

  • 1 kg organic bread flour
  • I use a mix of spelt /wholemeal
  • 4 tsp salt
  • 4 tsps dried fast action yeast
  • 600 ml tepid water
  • Good glug olive /rapeseed oil
  • 1 tsp sugar

Method
 

  1. Mix and knead for 10 mins.. leave covered in a warm, draft free place until doubled in size (30-45 mins)
  2. Knead again for a good 10 mins
  3. Split and shape to fit 2 x 2 lb loaf tins and slash the tops.
  4. Leave to double again - around 30 mins
  5. Bake at 200 for 25-30 mins, tap the bottom - it should sound like a drum 🥁
